Stroke Support Group News

Wini Henderson OT assistant in Rehab Therapy at Lenoir Memorial believes that encouragement, patient, and support are exactly what's needed to help manage all of the issues after a stroke. She has started the Discover Recovery Stroke Support Group and offers this group to anyone who needs support after the diagnosis of a stroke. Her method incorporates the positive focus on "abilities and victories." The group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 3 pm in the Minges Wellness Center classroom.
